The traditional “Mustache Shaving” event was held at the Carob Mill (Lanitis) in Limassol, gathering a large crowd for an evening dedicated to giving and solidarity.
The event was broadcast live by Channel 6 and combined Cypriot tradition with charity. In a festive atmosphere featuring violins, lutes, tsiattista and traditional dances, the Mayor of Limassol, Mr. Yiannis Armeftis, shaved off his mustache in support of the “Children’s Day of Love Fund” Foundation.
The event featured Michalis Tterlikkas and his music group “Mousa”, Nicoletta Demetriou, Makis Chrysostomou on violin, Tassos Chrysostomou on tamboutsia, Kyriakos Georgiades on lute, and the Limassol Folklore Research Group “Oi Amathousioi”.
